The main event is two days but the activities are all-week-long. There are workshops and training sessions. Networking and pitching events. Product demonstrations. Breakout talks for niche interests (bring out your flying drones!). All centered around the invaluable ideas that will be SHARED in the keynote talks.

And you know what the good part about it is? Everybody gets a chance to speak up. You know what's even better? Nobody has to be forced to dress up. GOAB has cracked the code to the perfect half and half of events - important exchange of ideas in an environment that is not daunting. So leave your long-sleeved plaid shirts AT HOME, pack your tank tops and short shorts and book your flights for Boracay.

TechTalks.ph founder Tina Amper called on tech entrepreneurs to join the Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) international tech confab which is set to be held in Boracay Island this August 20-21 2015.

According to Amper, TechTalks.ph’s GOAB, is the place to be for Philippine startups or innovation-driven enterprises in Southeast Asia who are looking for prospects for funding, partnerships, networks, and fun-filled learning on technology and entrepreneurship.

“Geeks on a Beach offers startups and related software technology companies great venue opportunities to succeed. Why go elsewhere to find partners or funding on your own? They will all be at GOAB where there is less hype and more action. So be there and find your own destiny,”
added David Overton, CEO of Sym.ph and Chief Geek of GOAB.

GOAB, which had its first staging in the world famous white sand beaches of Boracay Island in September 2013, boasts of having lent a hand in getting attention, mileage, and funding for a long list of tech startups from all over the country.

Chocolate Therapy

1st semester is finally over, most of the students are really excited to spend their semestral break but for me I have to continue working on some important matters but I couldn’t let this pass, I also need to find time to unwind, my OJT just ended and I have to prepare myself back to classroom set-up, more thesis and research papers to come. Well, if you observe in my latest posts on Instagram, it’s all about food. I just can’t resist rewarding myself and eating to fancy food places. One of the best places that you should visit and hang out with your friends this sembreak is TCC or better known as The Chocolate Chamber. Feel free to visit this very classy and nice place. Their chocolate is really made from our very own local cacao and they have this nice set – up and relaxing place with a touch of a European style. I was really amazed with their interior. It is really one of a kind chocolate experience. As we all know, a bite of chocolate can help us distress.

TCC Address: President Quirino Street Corner Magsaysay Street Barangay Kasambagan Cebu City, Cebu Philippines 6000
Operating Hours: Mondays-Saturdays 9:00AM – 9:00PM, Sundays 10:00am-7:00PM
